How do you authenticate your sneakers?
Our authentication steps are a long vigorous process which ensures our sneakers are 100% authentic always!
The First step which occurs in the process is verifying the buyer we are buying from. Nike will not sell you fake Nike shoes.
After that is the box test. After examining hundreds of authentic sneaker boxes we know how shoe boxes feel, they shouldn't be flimsy and should hold their shape well, they may sometimes be damaged and still authentic.
Next the smell of the shoe is a huge factor. Nike factory glue holds a pungent smell to any sneakerhead and is much different to that of a fake Chinese factory. Sneakerheads you get it.
The next step is a visual examine and sometimes comparing to an authentic pair you have. Please note sometimes authentic shoes from Nike have quality check issues and quality check isn't the only indication of a fake pair as 50% of Nike sneakers these days have a small quality check error. After visually examining many authentic Nike sneakers we now know how they look and if we ever question ourselves we can compare to a authentic sneaker we have.
The final step in our authentication process is the blacklight test. We shine a blacklight in a dark room on the sneaker and check the whole shoe, fakes tend to have a Chinese stamp somewhere on them and the stitching can be seen as visibly off. The blacklight test in my opinion is the most important step in our authentication process.
95% we can tell the authenticity of the pair after these few steps above although 5% of the time and usually when dealing with more high end pairs we verify the sneaker twice by us as well as 3rd party businesses such as CheckCheck.
Our authentication process can proudly guarantee 100% authenticity always, if you have anymore questions shoot us a DM on Instagram, @SneakerDealer.ie or email us at SneakerDealer.ie@gmail.com
